Learning Lunch 11:30-1:00pmLearning Lunch will precede the Design Expo on Tuesday, October 2nd at 11:30pm. Business casual dress is highly recommended.
The Learning Lunch will be hosted at the Merket Alumni Center and is an informative presentation during lunch. All Interior Design Faculty, ASID, and IIDA Officers should complete the following information. Submissions must be received by September 28th

Design Expo 4:00-6:00 PMThe Design Expo is Tuesday, October 2nd, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Merket Alumni Center. Get there on time to get a free bag!
Dress appropriately, you will be meeting tons of design professionals and learning about their products! There will also be a raffle during the Design Expo, so be sure to bring a few dollars to purchase raffle tickets at the event. what is the expo?The expo is a source to connect design industry professionals with students to educate them about their products.
What do I do at the Expo?Talk to the vendors! They will want to explain their product to you, so take notes and listen up! There are some pretty interesting things you could include on your future designs. Sometimes vendors will have brochures or even samples to hand out and those can be great resources. Many of the Interior Design graduates now work for the companies that participate in Expo, so you never know when you might be making a connection. And on that note, bring a couple copies of your resume and your portfolio if you have one!
Why should I go?Other than the reasons mentioned above, Expo is a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of people in the design field.
Last year the vendors raffled of numerous items, other vendors brought side tables, fabulous bags, and other cool items. So come, meet people, and have a great time! |
